About This Course
The Law Is the Curriculum
A 3-hour continuing education course in Fair Housing law. Grounded in the federal Fair Housing Act and A.R.S. 41-1491 et seq., the course moves from the statutory framework and protected classes through discrimination in practice, advertising compliance, and controlling case law and enforcement, and closes with building a documented fair-housing compliance practice.
One 30-minute module addresses the newest way fair-housing violations occur in practice: discriminatory outcomes produced by automated advertising, valuation, and screening systems, and the licensee's non-delegable duty to recognize and prevent them. Technology appears only as examples; the course teaches no tools and no technology adoption. Its single public-protection purpose: licensees who can recognize and prevent fair-housing violations, however they arise.

Identify the protected classes and prohibited practices under the federal Fair Housing Act and A.R.S. 41-1491 et seq., and the duties they impose on licensees and brokers
